Hooi Welsen read law at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2022. He completed his Bar Vocational Course at City University of London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales 2023. He is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple.

Welsen completed his pupillage at Messrs Kee Sern, Siu & Huey and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in July 2025.

He is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution team, where his practice areas encompasses civil and commercial disputes, corporate restructuring and insolvency, as well as tenancy disputes.
